Blog post 2

This week I finished my book, Unenchanted. This book is mysterious and not very predictable so it makes you want to keep reading.
Mina is cursed and has to complete hundreds of fairy tales or the story will move down to her speechless brother, Charlie. Mina is so determined to protect her family so she'll do anything to keep them safe. Along the road Brody, Mina's long time crush, helps save her life when she gets attacked. After that event Brody was determined to protect Mina from any harm, but yet he had no clue at all to what he was protecting her from, so his jobs was really difficult. Mina and Brody start getting close and end up dating, and Mina falls desperately in love with him.
Within all of this Mina is involved in a tale but doesn't realize it until Jared comes along. Jared is a fae, so he isn't a human but passes as one with his magic. He goes out of his way to help Mina train for her final battle of this specific tale. Later on, Mina finally realizes that she is the tale of Red Riding Hood, which would explain why all of her clothes were red and the Wolf Pack that had attacked her more than once.
The final battle was coming and Mina wasn't too ready for it because she was so distracted by her love for Brody and her effort to maintain her friendship with her only and best friend, Nan. Nan had talked endlessly about the school dance coming up in a few weeks and how it was fairytale themed. What a coincidence? Once Brody asked Mina to go to the dance they had to think of a custom idea, she chose Red Riding Hood knowing that's the only thing the Story would accept while she was in this tale.
Dance time. Final battle. Mina's birthday. All in one day.
